Filomena Tobias in the News again?
Do you really know her?
Fil Tobias
If anyone knows what the definition of harassment is, it would be safe to say Filomena Tobias knows it pretty well. After growing up in Jersey, and doing what a city girl could to survive as an airline stewardess, she blended in as any other girl would. Fil was just an ordinary girl some might say waiting for her knight in shining armor. No one would have guessed the torment and tragedy that would enter her life years down the road.
Filomena Tobias, mother of three wonderful children, found her residence in Southern Florida over the last 24 years. Some might say that Florida hasn't treated her very kindly at all. Through three marriages, and accusations that surmount the Andy Mountains, it wouldn't be hard to imagine life for a single mother, and widow is quite difficult.

Filomena Tobias, mother of three wonderful children...
If you have been around Palm Beach at all then you probably have heard the name a few times. If you can imagine the days back in high school, when everything was a popularity contest, then you might be able to get a glimpse into Filomena Tobias's life over the last few years. Between lawyers who won't leave her alone, to ducking and dodging flying daggers, She hasn't had a problem with a popularity contest. Unfortunately she hasn't necessarily won the Miss America pageant with her exposure.
Some people have lives where there isn't much to talk about, and they really go unnoticed in society. You may be one of them. And then there are the people who just can't seem to get a break from the spotlight and nosy reporters. Whether they may be an angel philanthropist that gives away their millions, or a star football player who fights dogs, it never fails that some people just can't get a break from the hype of commercialized news. Filomena and Seth did have their involvement in charities (see here), however for some reason that's not what the news is concerned with.
Filomena : Who is she? Nobody is perfect, I mean if you are then go ahead and pick up a stone and throw it at me, because I surely am not perfect. So why do imperfect people feel the need to write about other people's imperfections? Because it sells, that's why. Everyone knows that news it only to satiate humanities insecurities and desire to see someone else worse off then themselves. News stations and reporters have a good way of spinning a story to make it more interesting than it really was, and they definitely have the platform to preach their message what ever it may be.
Looking for peace and solace as anyone can imagine having been through so much, this mother of three may not be perfect either. It's a shame that people need to create a story out of people's tragedies when the truth isn't good enough to sell a story, or highlight the 5 O'clock news. Maybe it's time to let a story be a story and the truth be the truth. Having been through so much already, Filomena Tobias is moving forward despite the tragedies life has brought her.
